摘要
Abstract The evaluation of occupational skin disease requires a thorough history, examination, specific tests and sometimes a site visit. Irritant contact dermatitis is by far the commonest diagnosis, although allergy, infections, cancers and other conditions are not infrequent. Allergy tests should only be performed by someone with adequate experience of occupational dermatology. Some occupations are at high risk (e.g. hairdressers and health care workers), but any occupation may cause skin disease.
