Response of Rice Growth and Nutrient Absorption in A Saline-Alkali Paddy to Different Nitrogen Fertilizer Applications

Nitrogen (N),phosphorus (P) and carbon (C) are essential nutrients for rice growth and development,but the response of nutrient absorption by rice plants to different types of nitrogen fertilizer (N-fertilizer) under saline-alkali conditions is unclear. This study conducted a 147-day field-scale experiment to evaluate rice biomass and nutrient absorption capacity with five N-fertilizer applications. The results showed that the biomass,total N (TN),total P (TP),and total C (TC) contents of rice plants were positively correlated with each other. They were affected by growth stages,N-fertilizer types,plant tissues,and their interaction,with statistically significant differences. Additionally,this study provided an effective N-fertilizer application to promote rice growth and nutrient absorption capacity in saline-alkali fields.
