Design and Eigen Mode Analysis of Flexible Two-Beam Piezoelectric Biomechanical Energy Harvester

摘要
The energy generated by the physiological activities inside the human body gets wasted. To harvest this energy, a flexible piezoelectric biomechanical energy harvester (BEH) is designed using Polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) as a flexible substrate and zinc oxide (ZnO) as the piezoelectric material. The structure consists of squared-shaped seismic mass and rectangular-shaped beams. The designed BEH can be attached as a band on any part of the human body for the harvesting of energy. The resonance frequency of the BEH is obtained using eigen-mode analysis and also analytically compared.
