Abstract
The city of Pekalongan, located in the northern part of Java Island within Central Java Province, faces challenges such as floods and tidal inundation originating from the runoff of the Loji River, exacerbated by tides due to land subsidence and changes in land use. To address these issues, the government, through BBWS Pemali Juana, has undertaken a technical study on flood control, involving the construction of normalization, regulator gates, moveable weirs, and retention ponds along the Loji River. This study aims to analyze the changes in the riverbed resulting from the development initiatives on the Loji River. The analysis employs HEC-RAS 1D to assess alterations in sedimentation patterns within the river. The outcomes of the constructed interventions on the Loji River reveal notable changes in the riverbed, characterized by increased sedimentation and erosion. This research serves a crucial role in providing valuable input to the government for policymaking related to planning, implementation, and monitoring, grounded in the principles of integrated water resources management.
