Technologies and education, an ethical relationship

In today's world it is undeniable that technology is part of the conditioning that goes through the formation of culture and subjectivities. This work aims to investigate the ethical dimension of technologies and their impact on cultural and educational practices. The relationship between technology and society has been extensively worked on in the field of the philosophy of technology and in this work some ideas that give rise to thinking about technology as a promoter of transformations and changes will be recovered, not only in society but in human recognition of their capacity for creation. This work is part of the research project "From the Knowledge Society to Society 5.0: a technological and ethical approach in our region" that is developed in the Research Laboratory in new computer technologies (LINTI) of the Faculty of Informatics of the National University of La Plata. In this project, the technological problem is addressed as part of the current complexity from an ethical and cultural perspective, which recognizes technology as non-neutral, designed and created through hegemonic logics that assign it a single meaning. The articulation that we propose here is to incorporate the cultural perspective into the debate, as it allows us to problematize this homogenization. In this sense, the contribution of pedagogical categories becomes imperative to recognize in the educational process, a space to think about critical interventions that promote reflection on the impact of technology on our lives and the ethical dimension of production and development processes.
