摘要
The evolution of wireless communication systems towards 6G is driven by the need for higher data rates, ultra-reliable low-latency communication, and massive connectivity aligned with sensing demands like high-resolution sensing and target detection, necessitating the integration of radar and communication. Various joint radar and communication (JRC) multiplexing techniques have been proposed earlier, but they face adaptability, resource sharing, and coexistence challenges within the limited spectrum. This paper introduces polarization-based JRC multiplexing as an innovative solution, enabling simultaneous sensing and communication in a spectrum-efficient manner, while mitigating interference and enhancing system adaptability. Based on mathematical analysis and simulations, our findings emphasize the effectiveness and practicality of the proposed system even in the presence of channel depolarization.
