Abstract
Materials analysis and characterization with high-throughput concept is very important during materials improvement especially for rapid research & development. In the present work, we introduce a materials research method of TC4 titanium alloy involving two-dimensional and three-dimensional high-throughput characterization. Firstly, all information of TC4 microstructure with specimen in centimeter scale has been recorded by high-throughput scanning electron microscope and visible-light microscope for rapid microstructure observation of original position analysis. Secondly, based on the metallurgical etching response difference of TC4 alloy phases, morphology contrast of different phases is produced and all two-dimensional and three-dimensional surface microstructure information of TC4 microstructure with specimen in centimeter scale could be detected and recorded by surface profile analysis. Finally, the original position characterization of cracks, pits and pollutants is carried out by combination of two-dimensional and three-dimensional characterization methods.
