A New Image Stitching Method with Entropy and Template Matching.

Image stitching has been widely employed in industrial vision, aerial photography, and other fields. Aim to create images with a wide viewing angle, but it easily causes severe artifacts under conditions such as parallax and scene lighting. Therefore, improving the accuracy of image alignment is an important research issue in image stitching. We propose a new image processing technique that combines entropy and normalized correlation coefficient-based template matching for searching a similar region. Then, according to the gray value distribution of the similar area, the Oriented FAST and Rotated BRIEF (ORB) is calculated to improve feature matching accuracy and image alignment.
