摘要
The objective of this paper is to evaluate differences in user experience between two interfaces for a game editor: a traditional keyboard-mouse setup and a virtual reality (VR) environment. Corresponding functionalities were developed for a custom-built game editor and made accessible in both interfaces. A comparative usability study was conducted, where ten participants interacted with both interfaces and subsequently provided feedback through questionnaires. The results indicate a general preference for the PC-based interface. Users comfort level with conventional mouse and keyboard interfaces as well as the occurrence of motion sickness in virtual reality, were cited as factors for this assessment. While the VR interface was perceived as more fun, its steeper learning curve suggests it may be more advantageous for experienced users than for novices.
