摘要
Software reliability increasingly become imperative in the digital world we live in. In our daily lives, we wake up in our houses that have some degree of smartness and automation, from monitoring systems for security or energy efficiency to devices we use every day, including cleaning robots, smart TVs, smartphones, to automated kitchen appliances. As we step outside, we use transportation systems, which have various degrees of automated capabilities, are connected to some cloud-based systems, are linked to the smart city, and are monitored by various devices and cameras for purposes like security, speed-limit control, or access control regulation. Also, digital systems record information about us, allowing for insights regarding every aspect of our lives, including our movements, health conditions, financial situation, and knowledge of our best friends, family members, or place of residence, among other aspects. Some working environments use robots and collaborative robots (cobots) to help production, like smart factories, but even the most manual and artisanal work is now making use of electronic devices to some extent.
