摘要
The combination of strength, rigidity, and low weight is the biggest benefit of composite materials. Manufacturers are able to create characteristics that precisely match the specifications for a specific structure for a specific purpose by selecting the right mix of reinforcement and matrix material. However, drilling causes a variety of damage to composite plates, such as extrusion or delamination, fibre/matrix delamination, cracks in the lamellas or thermal damage. Flaking is caused by cutting forces that press into the ground and cut the material against the groove surface. The present wok focuses on analysing drilling processing parameters, a JFRPPU-foam sandwich composites to minimum the delamination. This sandwich composite modelled discretized by means of finite element solver ANSYS with SOLID85 elements. Analysis in this model, for different von Mises stresses and deflection of plate under a force, is determined with the help of ANSYS. The stress distribution effect around the hole is determined with modelled results. The high speed steel twist drilling hole results show lower stress found for an load of 105 N, drill diameter 4 mm, speed of 500 rpm, and feed rate of 80 mm/min in untreated sandwich composite. Also, it was observed that untreated composite structures show lesser delamination between interface of foam and face sheet, due to better interfacial bonding.
