摘要
Schizophrenia is a severe and usually life-long disorder, but disease trajectories vary significantly across individuals, and the neurobiological underpinnings for this heterogeneity have remained elusive. Progressive brain volume changes, mainly in fronto-temporo-thalamic regions, have been described in schizophrenia, but it is unknown whether atrophy patterns cluster into different biotypes and, if so, whether these endophenotypes associate with differential longitudinal symptom burdens.
