Day-Ahead Optimal Scheduling of an AC/DC Microgrid with PET

Abstract
This study presents an optimized scheduling methodology for managing Distributed Generation (DG) within AC/DC Microgrid that incorporate a Power Electronic Transformer (PET). To begin, we establish a PET scheduling model that considers power losses. Subsequently, we develop an optimized scheduling model for the AC/DC Microgrid with PET. To validate our approach, we present a case study that assesses the efficiency of AC/DC system with PET and examines what impact of PET efficiency makes on system performance. The results highlight the effectiveness of harnessing PET's power regulation capabilities, which facilitates the seamless integration of distributed generation and ultimately leads to reduced operational costs.
