Terahertz Dual-Polarization Frequency Scanning Coding Metasurface

In this thesis, a terahertz static reflection metasurface with dual-polarization control is proposed. A terahertz reflection superunit with independent polarization control is designed by simulation. The terahertz coding metasurface composed of this unit has two beam control modes: frequency coding and phase coding, which can decompose a random polarized incident wave into two orthogonal linearly polarized wave components and reflect them independently. Combining coding optimization and two-dimensional coding, it can realize reflection in any direction. CST simulation results show that when the array code is repeated “1234”, the broadband frequency scanning range is 25°-40°, and the overall scanning range of frequency scanning and phase scanning is 0°- 45°. When the array size is $\mathbf{32}\times \mathbf{32}$ , the average SLL is -9.66dB and the maximum SLL is -7.85 dB.
