Abstract
Herein, the high-pressure intrusion-extrusion of water in ITE-, CDO- and MTF-type pure silica zeolites (zeosils) is studied. These zeosils demonstrate a fully reversible spring behavior with an intrusion pressure of 32, 125 and 210 MPa for ITE-, MTF- and CDO-type zeosils, respectively. The last value is the record high for water intrusion among all the studied porous materials. These results are compared to the ones obtained for other zeosils, and an overview of water intrusion-extrusion in different zeosils is presented. Some relationships between the zeosil structure, particularly, pore size and topology, and intrusion-extrusion characteristics are also reported. The high-pressure intrusion-extrusion of water in ITE-, CDO- and MTF-type zeosils has been studied. The relationship between the zeosil structure, particularly, pore size and topology, and intrusion-extrusion characteristics is discussed.
