Abstract
A universal special charge (USC) "Fowler" with a cumulative effect was exptl. verified. The USC was compared with conventional charges currently used by engineering troops. The basic tactical and tech. parameters of the USC were described. The special modifications of the charge developed in order to enable its use in non-military and non-conventional applications were described. The field test results, esp. its penetration depth in the armor plate from various distances, were presented. The field tests were extended to check the unconventional use of USC by using addnl. functional liners like explosively formed projectile and directional fragmentation charge.
