Abstract
A fault estimation method for a class of discrete-time Linear Parameter Varying (LPV) systems with actuator faults and measurement noise is proposed in this paper. First, an augmented descriptor approach is proposed to simultaneously estimate system states and system faults. The proposed observer is designed using L performance to minimize the uncertainties effects and to improve the estimation accuracy. Then, the envelopes of the fault can be calculated based on the obtained state estimation. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed method is illustrated by a case study on a 4.8MW wind turbine benchmark system.
