A indoor air quality monitoring system has been created by utilizing the Raspberry Pi 4 microcomputer and the Arduino hardware-programming platform. This innovative system provides real-time feedback on the indoor air quality and also offers means to actively improve it. The software components have been segregated for the microcontroller and the microcomputer, respectively. In the case of the Raspberry Pi, it employs the standard Python development environment, enhanced with the inclusion of library for efficient infrared signal transmission control. Additionally, the GPIO library is utilized to facilitate interaction with Raspberry Pi ports. An information fusion algorithm has been employed to analyze the collected data, enabling a comprehensive understanding of the system’s functionality. A detailed overview of the system’s operation has been conducted, accompanied by the formulation of the corresponding algorithm, in the course of the system’s examination.
