Abstract
This article presents a novel solution to the problem of measuring H2 in natural gas (NG). It results from an extensive research on a MEMS optical plasma spectrometer. The sensor ionizes the gaseous sample and based on the spectrum of the generated plasma, it allows for identification of components of the gas mixture, and its concentration. The main advantages of this solution are its capability of working with small, diluted gas samples, and possibility of simple connection to gas installations.
