An Enhanced Artificial Immune Based Base Station Planning Approach for Wireless Networks with Uneven User Distribution.

Base station (BS) planning has always been a challenging task, especially in ultra-dense heterogeneous Networks (HetNets) with miniatured and densely deployed BSs. In this paper, we propose an enhanced artificial immune based BS planning approach for two-layer HetNets with uneven user distribution. The goal is to minimize the deployment costs while ensuring coverage and capacity. BS locations is optimized and redundant BSs are eliminated. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed scheme performs well in terms of convergence and finding the optimal solution.
