Abstract
The article discusses an autonomous hybrid system for production and storage of electrical energy designed for a single-family house, whose operation is simulated using the PSIM software. The system comprises the photovoltaic panels (5.5 kW), an inverter, of four Li-ion batteries connected in series, each with a capacity of 200 Ah, and a supercapacitor module consisting of 20 capacitors connected in series, each with a capacity of 3000 F, 2.7 V. The research provides simulation results for the level of fluctuations during the charging and discharging of Li-ion batteries when operating in conjunction with the supercapacitor module. An active topology was adopted for the hybrid system operation, which includes tree DC-DC converters and one bi-directional DC-AC inverter. The article demonstrates that electricity production system and an energy storage system can successfully operate together with additional technical means and appropriate management.
