Integrated catecholamine imaging in heart and lung across different cardiopulmonary disorders: A systems-based pilot analysis

•This study evaluates the simultaneous catecholamine handling with metaiodobenzilguanidine (MIBG) in the heart and lungs.•A large cohort of patients with different cardiopulmonary disorders has been evaluated.•This study demonstrates a high percentage of simultaneous derangement of catecholamine handling at different organ levels.•This study highlights a MIBG handling in line with the underlying etiology of the disease.•The novelties of this study include a new approach for nuclear imaging with possible implications for patients prognosis.
