Effect of exercise training on glycemic control in diabetic peripheral neuropathy: A GRADE assessed systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized-controlled trials

•Exercise training reduces HbA1c level in patients with DPN and the largest mean change is observed for aerobic training modality.•The observed mean reduction of HbA1c sits above the minimal clinically important difference (MCID) of HbA1c that could be clinically of high importance in the management of DPN as severity of DPN is strongly associated with HbA1c level.
