摘要
A series of Tb3+ activated Lu2(MoO4)3 green-emitting phosphors were successfully prepared via a conventional solid-state reaction method. The preparation temperatures and the concentration effects of Tb3+ were explored. Excited by 260 nm or near-ultraviolet (NUV) 380 nm light, the prepared phosphors exhibit narrow-band green emission dominated by the 5D4 -> 7F5 transition of Tb3+ peaked at 547 nm with full width at half maximum (FWHM) of 9.7 nm or 9.8 nm. The crystal structures, the micromorphology features, the compositions, the photoluminescence (PL) excitation and emission spectra, the internal quantum efficiency (IQE), the band gap energy (Eg), the fluorescence lifetime (tau), the Commission Internationale d'Eclairage (CIE) chromaticity coordinates, the color purity (CP), and the correlated color temperature (CCT) were systematically measured, calculated, and studied. The experimental results demonstrate the promising applications of Tb3+-doped Lu2(MoO4)3 green phosphors in backlight display technologies based on NUV light emitting diodes (LEDs).
