СОЦІАЛЬНА ІНКЛЮЗІЯ ЯК ЧИННИК УСПІШНОЇ СПІВПРАЦІ УНІВЕРСИТЕТІВ ТА ГРОМАД

The article outlines the role of social inclusion in advancing sustainable development via university-community engagement. It draws from earlier methodological approaches and investigates development of social inclusion through the lens of previous studies of social cohesion, intercultural communication, managing diversity in academic communities. Different aspects of social inclusion and its realization in societal life and educational environment are presented; the concept of social inclusion, its interpretation by Ukrainian and international academic and expert communities are defined. The article then examines the role of social inclusion in the formation and revival of postwar Ukrainian society. The potential of international educational projects, like Erasmus+, as well as other international technical assistance projects and programs, their capability to facilitate university – community engagement and contribute to social inclusion are explored.
