Abstract
In the existing transient stability control of wind power interconnected power systems, the challenges are as follows. On the one side, Energy storage devices increase costs. On the other side, the primary frequency regulation does not consider the stability of the unit itself. Therefore, a VSG control strategy based on model prediction is proposed to improve the frequency safety and stability of transient processes in wind power interconnected power systems. Firstly, the VSG control method for frequency safety and stability improvement control is introduced, and then the Model predictive control theory is introduced. Secondly, model the interconnected wind power system. Next, design a transient frequency safety and stability improvement control strategy. Finally, based on the improved IEEE 3-machine 9-node system and the improved IEEE 10-machine 39 node system, the effectiveness and advantages of the control strategy proposed in this paper were verified.
