Br I spectral line measurements in the range 2000-6000 cm-1: Part I

The present study provides data on the spectral line measurements of atomic bromine (Br I) in the 2000-6000 cm-1 range in the infrared spectral region by using a high-resolution Fourier Transform Spectrometer. Electrodeless discharge lamps (EDL) of bromine were prepared and used as light sources while InSb was utilized as the light detector. A total of 210 spectral lines were observed with two different resolutions of 0.004 and 0.006 cm-1, of which 166 lines are reported for the first time. New center of gravity wavenumber values are reported for all the observed lines.
