A qualitative analysis to identify the issues of tuberculosis management in tribal areas of Rajasthan

•This study identifies the issues impacting the TB management in tribal population of Rajasthan state of India.•Poor access, Irregular incentive disbursement, substance abuse, & rude behaviour of staffs impede treatment completion.•Discriminative behaviour towards TB patient and their family members demotivates new patients to start TB treatment.•Unavailability of healthcare and transportation in neighbourhood and migration of people are big challenge in TB management.•Lack of proper training of healthcare staff and unawareness among tribals lead to poor contact screening and TB prophylaxis.
