•Portable measurements of scavenging capacities for HO•, SO4•- and Cl• were proposed.•Model simulation consisted of photochemical, QSAR, and SSA models was developed.•k′p,MP by UV-AOPs were predicted in real waters by developed method and verified.•The developed method facilitates the selection and optimization of UV-AOPs.
