摘要
The United States Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices recommends vaccination against menin gococcal serogroups A, C, W, and Y for all 11 and 12-year olds (with a booster dose at age 16) and against meningococcal serogroup Il for 16 to 23-year olds under shared clinical decision making. This study investigated knowledge, attitude, and practices among nurse practitioners and physician assistants regarding meningococcal vaccination. Although nurse practitioners and physician assistants play an important role in discussing and recommending vaccination, knowledge gaps regarding meningococcal disease and vaccina tion guidelines were identified. Targeted education may promote shared clinical decision making, improving access to meningococcal vaccination. 2023 GSK plc. Published by Elsevier Inc.
