Non-intrusive assessment of speech quality for classical Chinese poetry recitals using perceptual and acoustic features

•We employ the target poetry recital speech signal as the solitary input, based on a non-intrusive model. This approach circumvents reliance on text and reference speech for evaluation.•We devise two distinct modules to appraise the clarity and prosody of classical poetry recitation, contrasting the single evaluation dimension of standard Chinese speech.•We design an inclusive assessment model constructed by second-order polynomial regression, capable of mapping the objective MOS and prosody score to the poetry recital quality assessment score.
