Abstract
Sky survey observations are an important direction for future international astronomical research. The China Space Station Telescope (CSST) will be launched in the near future, its sky survey mission requires 17,500 deg2 of sky survey observation and 400 deg2 of deep field observation to be completed within ten years, which is characterized by large scale, long duration and complex constraints, making the mission planning difficult. In order to solve the mission planning problem of CSST, this paper constructs a mission planning model based on the on-orbit operation mode, constraints and scientific targets of the China Space Station Telescope, with the objectives of shortest total time of sky survey mission, lowest energy consumption and largest priority of the observed sky area. A phased sky survey mission planning algorithm is designed to optimally solve the sky survey mission planning problem, simulation results demonstrate that the mission planning algorithm is able to complete the telescope's sky survey observation mission one year ahead of schedule.
