Persistent remission of severe rheumatoid arthritis associated with myelodysplastic syndrome upon treatment with lenalidomide.

•Individuals with a history of autoimmune diseases, including RA, have an increased risk of developing MDS.•Patient with long-standing, severe and refractory RA who developed MDS achieved remission of both conditions with Lenalidomide.•Lenalidomide might be an effective option for concurrent RA with MDS.
