摘要
•Type of Research: Single-center retrospective observational study•Key Findings: In 411 patients who received postoperative discharge phone calls (PODPCs) after vascular surgery, the 30-day readmission rate was lower than a historical aggregated cohort (17% vs. 28%, p<0.0001). One fifth of PODPCs identified a concern, and over 90% were managed by an NP over the phone or in clinic.•Take Home Message: Postoperative discharge phone calls are feasible and may reduce readmissions among vascular surgery patients.
