Constructing a phenyl bridged switch in porous aromatic frameworks for enhancing the adsorption capacity of volatile iodine

摘要
The dynamic dissociation of the π-π bridge during the adsorption process effectively prevents pore blockage and creates an enlarged space for the capture of iodine molecules via the evolving capillary action. In addition, the uniformly distributed Lewis base N atoms (carbazole) and rich π – conjugated units (benzene ring and alkynyl group) serve as specific binding sites, which brought a strong affinity for the interaction with iodine molecules.
