Abstract
In this paper, shooting and bouncing ray (SBR) and the method of moments (MoM) are combined to calculate the scattering field of complex large targets. The MoM is used to calculate the edge region, while the remaining region is calculated by the SBR. At the same time, the ray tracing process is accelerated by a linear bounding volume Hierarchies (LBVH) structure and a parallel algorithm based on graphics processing unit (GPU).The effectiveness of the accelerated SBR-MoM technique is confirmed through a comparative analysis of the simulation outcomes with those obtained using the accelerated SBR approach and FEKO (RL-GO).Comparied with the accelerated SBR method, the accelerated SBR-MoM method can improve the calculation result to some extent. The comparison of the running time of these three methods shows that the efficiency of accelerated SBR-MoM is improved. It is shown that the accelerated SBR-MoM can effectively calculate the scattering field of complex targets.
