•Simplified process: The AgSNP@CD was prepared through a simplified process, making it amenable to large-scale production.•Portable and stroage: AgSNP@CD maintains structural integrity after compression, binding, and long-term storage, endowing it with high portability.•Long-acting antibacterial: AgSNP@CD exhibits high antibacterial stability and efficacy after long-term storage even up to 2 years.•Applicated in extreme environment: AgSNP@CD exhibits high antibacterial efficacy under extreme conditions, such as damp heat, water immersion, and acid-alkali erosion.
