Abstract
Advanced Information Technology is a technique and knowledge that enables the role of various parties to apply technology in their systems of data processing, management, decision making, transmission and display of information. Higher education institutions as pillars in the successful use of technology have an interest in always being pioneers in technological advances in the future. This research reviews the literature to build an understanding of e-leadership in higher education institutions. In this research, we adopt the theory of success and quality to influence leadership. It is according to the theoretical framework that Information Technology emerged from their interactions with the organizational structure of which leadership is a part. Therefore, organizational structures, including leadership, can change themselves as a result of interactions with Information Technology. Based on the model, it can be seen that the success of e-leadership is influenced by the variables of perceived quality, perceived satisfaction, perceived ability and perceived reputation.
