The biological control effect of Bacillus cereus on strawberry leaf spot disease caused by Neopestalotiopsis clavispora

•We found a new leaf spot disease of strawberry caused by Neopestalotiopsis clavispora from a northern strawberry greenhouse, with an incidence of 25 % in the greenhouse.•We first used Bacillus cereus to control a fungal disease of strawberry caused by Neopestalotiopsis clavispora.•We used Bacillus cereus fermentation solution in a field experiment to control the strawberry leaf spot disease caused by Neopestalotiopsis clavispora.
