Resting-state EEG connectivity recorded before and after rTMS treatment in patients with treatment-resistant depression

•Patients with MDD received 20 sessions of 10 Hz rTMS treatment, and EEG was recorded prior to and following treatment.•Lower theta connectivity at baseline was correlated with greater antidepressant response to rTMS treatment.•Theta connectivity increased between baseline and post-rTMS, however this was not correlated with antidepressant response.•Given the small sample size and exploratory nature of the analyses further replication of these results is required.
