Studies were carried out to comprehend the synergetic effect of ZrO2 on the optical behavior of Polythiophene (PTh). PTh was composited with the requisite amount of ZrO2 to produce the novel composite materials (PZs), which were further investigated for their optical properties viz. optical band-gap, extinction coefficient, refractive index, dielectric constants, and consequently optical conductivity.
