Abstract
This paper investigates the impact of voltage control of unbalanced distribution systems incorporating a three-phase step voltage regulator (3ϕSVR) on electric vehicle (EV) hosting capacity. The EV charging loads are modeled using arrival time data. In the voltage control, 3ϕSVR is coordinated with the active and reactive power output control of smart inverters and a load-ratio control transformer. The IEEE 13 node test feeder is used for power flow simulation to investigate unbalanced EV integration into distribution systems, and hosting capacity is analyzed in a case study.
