Abstract
In this research, we synthesized Indium oxide nanosheets (In2O3-NS) using an easy, cost-effective, and hydrothermal approach. The In2O3 NS modified electrode achieved the highest specific capacitance value of 927.2 F g-1 at 0.5 A g-1 current density in a 2 M KOH electrolyte solution. The electrochemical results indicate that the stability of the In2O3 NS is much greater compared to other reported indium oxide-based nanostructure electrodes. This enhanced cycle stability was seen for a duration of 8,000 cycles at a current density of 1.0 A g-1. In2O3-NS exhibits favourable characteristics that makes it a viable candidate for use as an electrode material in energy storage for supercapacitor applications.
