Abstract
Embedded systems have been incorporated to several medical devices to further improve the quality of operation provided. One of such device involves controlling the blood oxygen saturation level reading of a person by adjusting the oxygen flow given from a source. This study aims to implement fuzzy logic control as a means of regulating blood oxygen saturation level using a microcontroller. A system prototype was developed using the components stated in the methodology. The system was tested among patients experiencing breathing difficulties. Using an experimental method of data gathering, the researchers were able to observe the response on the system upon usage to patients. From the researchers’ data gathered, the system was able to demonstrate the use of fuzzy logic control in regulating blood oxygen saturation level.
