Control Strategy for Multi-terminal Energy Router in Flexible DC Distribution System

As the number of new energy sources connected to the power grid continues to increase, there is a growing complexity in the way the grid operates. In order to enable flexible consumption of photovoltaic power, energy router based on DC/DC converters are used to connect photovoltaic generations to DC distribution systems. However, traditional droop control methods may lead to excessive fluctuations in DC bus voltage due to difficulties in allocating power based on the actual operating conditions of each port. To address this issue, a droop coefficient correction factor is introduced to adjust the droop coefficient based on DC bus voltage fluctuations. The initial droop coefficient value is continuously adjusted to account for changes in the power margin of the converter station, ensuring that the load status of each converter station remains at the same level after each power allocation. The effectiveness of the proposed control strategy is verified through simulation in Matlab/Simulink.
