Abstract
•The anti-skid control strategies and infinite long track simulation technology is adopted to construct the vehicle-track model, the validity of this model has been confirmed by using both simulation method and measured data.•The application of rail side lubrication significantly reduces the longitudinal creep force, thus diminishing the wheelset's steering capabilities.•Under one-side low adhesion, the wheelset displays noticeable yawing; Under two-side low adhesion, the severe longitudinal wheel/rail interaction will occur.•The rails in the transition section from low adhesion to normal adhesion are prone to severe local wear or fatigue.
