Abstract
•BTO ceramics with ferroelectric tetragonal phase were synthesized and incorporated into the PVDF-TrFE matrix for composite constructions.•Mechanical stretching followed by electrical poling improves composite film piezoelectric and ferroelectric performance.•A maximum of 5.98 C/cm2 was recorded in PT-BT-s-p samples with the relevant ferroelectric domain switching points.•The PT-BT-s-p structure device showed better sound wave impulse detection via a metallic interface.
