miRNA-133 and lncRNA-H19 expressions and their relation to serum levels of PKM2 and TGF-β in patients with systemic sclerosis

•Systemic sclerosis (SSc) is an autoimmune disease ending in vasculopathy & fibrosis.•MiRNAs and lncRNAs are thought to be involved in the elusive pathophysiology of SSc.•The serum expression of miRNA-133 was significantly downregulated in SSc patients.•The serum expression of H19 was significantly upregulated in SSc patients.•The serum expressions of PKM2 & TGF-β were significantly upregulated in SSc patients.
