Abstract
The growing human population and shifting weather patterns have highlighted the critical need for new methods of farming that increase harvests while decreasing water use. This study presents the design and implementation of an IoT-based automated irrigation system for precision agriculture, which is an innovative solution to the problem. The primary goal is to use sensor technologies, data analytics, and cloud computing to achieve efficient water utilisation in agricultural cultivation. One major benefit of the proposed system is that it combines elements of Precision Agriculture (PA) with cloud computing. Through an intuitive interface stored in the cloud, farmers have access to data and insights in real time. This allows them to keep an eye on the system from afar, record data about the soil, and change the irrigation accordingly, all of which contributes to higher harvests.
