Implementation of Micro-Cogeneration Technologies Using Biomass for Non-Residential Consumers

Reducing fossil fuel consumption and increasing energy efficiency at the consumer level is attracting the attention of specialists and users more and more. Many technologies have emerged to meet these two demands, so the implementation of micro-cogeneration systems with RES use has become a feasible and energy efficient solution. The paper aims to analyze the implementation of a micro-cogeneration system with the use of biomass for a low power consumer. The obtained results showed that fuel consumption is significantly reduced, greenhouse gas emissions are reduced and monetary savings of 1300 euros/year occur.
